Information we collect
When you use our services or contact us, we may collect:
- Contact form messages: your name, email address, company (optional), the topic you choose, your message, and the IP address the message was sent from.
- Emails you send us, including questions about samples, pricing, certificates, and billing.
- Sample and certificate details: the company name, product names, lot or batch numbers, sample descriptions, and test results that go on your certificate of analysis (COA).
- Billing records: invoices and payment confirmations. Payments are made through a payment link we send by email; we do not collect card details on this website.
When you visit the website, our hosting provider and security services also process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
Published certificates
Certificates are meant to be checked by anyone who holds one. When we issue a COA, it goes into our public index, where it can be found by its search code or by company name and viewed or downloaded as a PDF. Everything printed on the certificate is therefore public. Don’t include personal information in sample descriptions or product names you want kept private.
How we use your information
- To receive, test, and report on the samples you send us
- To issue and publish certificates of analysis
- To reply to your messages and give support
- To invoice for our services and keep financial records
- To protect the website from spam, abuse, and automated traffic
- To comply with legal obligations
Cookies
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. The website sets only the cookies it needs to work:
ptl_pass: set after you pass the verification check on the COA lookup, so you aren’t asked again for 30 minutes.ptl_desk: used only by our staff to stay signed in to the lab’s admin area, for up to 8 hours.
The verification check is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may use its own cookies or similar technology to tell people from bots. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the COA lookup may then ask you to verify more often.
Services we use
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our website host, which stores the website, contact messages, and certificates.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs the verification check on the contact form and COA lookup (Cloudflare privacy policy).
- Google Fonts, which serves the website’s fonts, so your browser connects to Google when pages load (Google privacy policy).
- Our email and payment providers, for correspondence and payments.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or when needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Peptide Test Lab, our clients, or others.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
- Contact messages are kept while we’re dealing with your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted.
- Testing records and certificates are kept so that published COAs can continue to be verified, and in line with laboratory record-keeping requirements.
- IP addresses used to limit repeated requests are kept only for short periods and cleared automatically.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information, unless we have to keep it by law or to keep a published certificate verifiable
- Stop sending you marketing emails
To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS, the admin area is protected by sign-in and a verification check, and access to client information is limited to our staff. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
